The Old Dominion Kennel Club of Northern Virginia, Inc. (ODKC) is a not for profit organization founded in the 1930s to protect and advance the best interests of all breeds of pure-bred dogs and the dog fancy in general, and to promote responsible dog ownership in the Northern Virginia area. The Club is a member of the American Kennel Club (AKC) and the Virginia Federation of Dog Clubs & Breeders, Inc.
We are a service organization to the community, to you the exhibitors, and to the dog world. We thank you for your support by participating in our ODKC shows. Proceeds from these programs have been distributed over many years. Over the years contributions have been made to the Canine Health Foundation, Take The Lead, Loudoun County Accelerant Dog Program, scholarships at VA-MD Regional College of Veterinary Medicine at VA Tech & the Veterinary Technology Program at No. VA Community College, Loudoun Campus. ODKC has worked with the Fairfax, Loudoun & Clarke, VA County Animal Agencies. Additional organizations receiving financial support are American Kennel Club’s response groups for hurricane and fire disasters, Veterans Moving Forward and K9 ALERT Search and Rescue Dogs, Inc.
The Veterans Moving Forward (VMF) is a non-profit organization. This group provides service, emotional support, or skilled companion dogs to Veterans with physical and/or mental health challenges at no cost to the Veterans. VMF is a local Loudoun County organization.
